Sometimes you just have to put on creative music and let go.  The colors in this painting are just me doing that.  Exploring new thick paint colors and designs.  The little oak leaf bloom holds the attention back to the antique roses.  One of my students Dawn is always exploring new techniques of thick paint so why not try something a little more fun.

Yesterday I did a demo in the beautiful gardens of SouthWood.  To be surrounded by all thoses flowers was like a little slice of heaven for me.  The beautiful roses danced in the sunlight while the sweet smell of roses waved through the air.  In the shade of a beautiful tree I stood while people watched the demo of these roses.  This kind of day is just what we live for .

During this time of the year about the only thing blooming in the garden are my sweet little pansies.  Many times I wish I could be just like them.  They have all kinds of adversity placed on them but even after the most difficult of times they spring back with confidence.  We are all waiting on Spring to arrive to give us a Renewing Spirit on life.  May we each find our ways to cope such as the small beautiful smiling faces of the pansies.

Well I broke down while at the nursery and saw these beautiful antiques roses. They became a must have.  Yes,  it is time to smell the roses with these bunch or roses.  The bush was so pretty and delicate.  Now the big thing is to baby it and keep it happy at my house.
