Textured Purple Clematis Painting by Contemporary Impressionist Niki Gulley

"Clematis" ©2023 Niki Gulley

10" x 12" Textured Oil on Panel

I liked the contrast of the cool purple in the flowers against the warm light of the textured wall behind them. Accentuating the circular design they were forming along with creating curving paint strokes, adds to a feeling of movement and energy, almost as if the petals are dancing in the breeze.

If you're interested in purchasing this painting and seeing a close up of its thick texture, just follow this link http://nikigulley.com/clematis/.

12" x 12" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

Contemporary Floral

I just signed and completed this small panel...it is drying in the studio.  I can't wait to put a frame on it!  It was fun to put this one together...I was in the mood for lots of happy color.  My palette is covered with so much color...that I have started some other paintings with my left-over piles of oil.  Contact Kay with any comments or questions.  Thanks for looking at my blog.  Kay

Iris Purple White

Iris Purple White is done with a brush and a knife. I wanted textures in the top of the Iris. I wanted it have a a voice. The falls are kind of blended with purples and permanent rose.  I did this oil painting on a canvas hardboard panel. You will need to frame as paintings always finish up with a nice frame. I do hope you like this piece.
