Teensy-Weensy by Kay Wyne

Teensy-Weensy
2 1/2" x 2 1/2" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel
Contemporary Rooster
This is by far the smallest painting I have painted.  I have it drying at the studio and then it will be at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas.  This isn't a very good pic because of the shadow, but I did not want to handle the panel because the paint is so wet.  I have three more smalls to paint and a commission to finish before Christmas.  Then I am going to get ready for another 30 Paintings in 30 Days Paint Challenge.  Thanks for looking....Kay

Itty-Bitty by Kay Wyne

Itty-Bitty
3" x 3" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel
This little rooster is all framed up and ready to find a new home!  Pam Massar Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas asked me to paint a small rooster in a very small frame...painting on a 3" x 3" canvas is challenging....I prefer a 30" x 30"!!!!  But, I pulled out two new brushes that were tiny, and here's my results.  As you can see, I am holding the frame and it is small!  Thus, the name of this rooster is Itty-Bitty.  I have four more smalls that I am working on, along with a commission for a Christmas gift...more painting today!  Thanks for looking...Kay

Big Guy by Kay Wyne

Big Guy
30" x 30" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Contemporary Rooster
This palette knife painting is fun, colorful and has lots of texture.  You can see the layers of paint, as it was applied with a knife.  You can't help but want to put your hands over the surface and feel the chunks of paint.  The paint is also on the sides of the stretcher bars, so framing is optional.  Contact Kay for more information on this painting.  Thanks for looking...Kay

Friendly In Fredericksburg by Kay Wyne

Friendly In Fredericksburg
18" x 24" Oil on Canvas
This city rooster was waking me up every morning during a visit to Fredericksburg.  He lives in the city limits, and was scampering all over the yard with some other feathered friends.  This painting needs a frame, and a new home!  Contact Kay for purchasing information.  This is Day #29 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge...I was not able to get to the studio yesterday to paint, so I am posting a painting that I did several months ago.  Thanks for viewing....KMW
