I found this old truck in Brownfield, TX and had to stop and photo it! It was orange and caught my eye going through town.  I intended for mine to be orange-y but it ended up yellow, and I liked it!
It is only 4x6".

I have been sketching each day with ink only since Oct.13th! I love doing the sketches, and they have helped me improve with my drawing so much! This old truck was at Ceta Canyon, TX.

Another sketch of old vehicles. This is done on Bockingford Watercolor Paper.
It is 4"x10" drawn with waterproof ink first, then painted with watercolor.

Best Friends

Today we went to Lovington, NM and on the way home, we drove around looking for photo ops, and found these old pickups! They could be Best Friends! They look like they have seen a lot of miles in their day.
Ken is so good about stopping, turning around, backing up, etc. for me to get a good picture! They are sketched with my Lamy Safar fountain pen, with the Lexington Gray Noodlers Ink on pale mint green Bockingford paper.  I  bought the paper to make some sketchbooks, and really like it. This is 4"x10".

I was out scouting for a good painting location when I saw these bright lights. The sun was coming up and at a golden hour. I couldn't resist painting this brightly colored landscape. I have yet to paint here, but got some great photos to work from.  I look forward to cooler temperatures and returning to paint at locations like this. This is available for purchase.  $200.00

I still had some of the flowers I purchased at the nursery. I never intended to plant them, because it has been too hot. I knew the heat would torch them.  I painted several still lifes from them.  I cut the flowers and used some of my smaller vases to set up this still life.  The clear vase was fun to paint.  I always start off using paint brushes, but switch to the palette knife to apply most of the paint.  This is available for purchase. $100.00
