Okay, I've shown you several Lazy Susans that were given as gifts or were commissioned pieces.  Here is one that is actually available!

This one-of-a-kind Lazy Susan is a functional work of art.  The turntable is handcrafted in the foothills of Virginia by third generation cabinetry makers.  I then add an original acrylic painting and seal it for durability and lasting beauty.

This Lazy Susan is MEANT TO BE USED!  Instructions on care will be included.  If you have any questions or would like to commission your own idea, please contact me.  Enjoy!

Breakfast: Bacon, Egg, and Buttered Toast by Kristine Kainer

Oil on Canvas
Purchase Information

It's the weekend--time ease into the day with the sights, sounds, and aroma of bacon sizzling in the black cast iron skillet, eggs gently frying in a melted dollop of butter on the next burner, and bread in the toaster turning a golden brown.  Just add orange juice (sorry, I still don't like coffee), a newspaper, and fluffy slippers--the perfect start to the day!

Thanks to my last blog bestowing accolades on the incredible egg, I have been craving them day and night.  This painting was today's breakfast (yes, two eggs--I couldn't resist).  They are from my two chickens--organic, free range, etc.  What could be more scrumptious?

Cracked Egg by Kristine Kainer

SOLD

What did you have for breakfast this morning?  Hopefully, it was something delectable and nutritious like an egg.  Did you know that the vitamins, minerals, protein, and antioxidants from an egg aid in brain function, muscle strength, weight management, and sustained energy?  I never truly thought about it.  Sounds like a "no-brainer" to me.  Guess what I am having for breakfast tomorrow?

Pears by Suzy Pal Powell

I started out with an under painting, trying to come up with a lesson for my watercolor class.  We have been working on some under paintings, and as I got into this drawing with the pears, it just wasn't working for me. So...like I have done in the past, I just collaged it.  Even though it is on watercolor paper it still works out ok. I have done several like this.  I am working on a demo for Portales NM, and this one will work for what I am planning.  I am also having a workshop March 28-29, and there is still room for more if you are interested.
