Wildflower Vista by Kay Wyne

Wildflower Vista
24" x 24" Oil on Canvas
Contemporary Wildflower Landscape Painting
This painting has been in the works for several weeks, and I can now say I am finished!  I wanted the foreground to be overgrown, thick with color and texture on the wildflowers.  I wanted to create a scene that appeared to be untouched, beautiful and dreamy.  The viewer can see the path of wildflowers as they trail off into the horizon, fading into the sky.  I started with a photograph that I had taken several years ago as inspiration, but took my artistic license and created this colorful landscape vista.  Contact Kay for more information on this painting...it is in the studio drying.  It does need a frame!  Thanks, Kay

I Can See Forever by Kay Wyne

I Can See Forever
12" x 36" Oil on Canvas
Wildflower Landscape Series
Fields of blue bonnets and the wide open sky is my subject matter for this painting.  I wanted the blue bonnets to fade into the background of rolling hills.  This floral landscape painting will look great framed up!  Thanks for looking at this blog....contact Kay for more information on this painting.  Kay

Texas Wildflowers - Mexican Redhats

11x8.5 watercolor and ink on paper of wildflowers growing locally in west Texas.  With less rainfall of course they aren't as plentiful, so for this painting I had to use photos taken 4 years ago as well as a few live specimens.  I love their red petals resembling petticoats.
