The Old Boat House by artist Pat Meyer

The path to this old boat house was covered with weeds and didn't look like we could make our way down to the boat house.  Paths are never clear in life and sometimes we fear which way to go.  Fear makes us stop in our tracks and not able to move.  Then we stop and prayer and God clears the way.

Today off to the nursery to purchase a new rose bush.  Heaven abound with all the beautiful sweet smelling roses to pick from.  The yellow ones were calling me to come look at them and when this rose bush stood tall and spoke to me to take her home.  Her name is Sparkle Rose.  Sometimes you have to just take pause and wonder how they name the rose bush.  Whatever her name she does sparkle with beautiful yellow blooms.

Exciting the new flowers are blooming in the garden.  Time to cut a few and bring to the studio.  Having fun showing the almost spent rose verses the blooming rose and the new bud in this painting. Put it in a blue jar vase  to highlight the beauty and give the balance of glass object in the painting.

How to Start Collecting Art by artist Pat Meyer

contact artist direct to collect
Pat@Meyer.net

Which one would you choose?  Allot of new art collectors ask how do I start my art collection on a limited budget.  First decide what type of art makes you happy or feel something.  Do you like color, movement or an expression in the painting.  Start small and build up.  When I find another artist that I admire their work usually I try to collect something smaller.

Well it has been almost a month since I have been able to paint because of my illness.  3 hours and was exhausted but good to warm up the brushes again.  There were no flowers in the house so had to paint food and I think the high fever effected how my brain waves worked.  Giggles.

Still having fun going on location and painting the local barns and farms.  This little goat farm could be located anywhere in the USA.  It's charm and out buildings makes you wonder what all they are are doing there.  The goats play behind the barn in the pasture.
