Celebrate Today, Red Poppy, is the newest artwork in Flower Mound Studio this week. One big ole mess on the table, one new poppy collage complete! I have been collaging in my head every day since taking a torn paper collage workshop from the master multimedia artist, Nancy Standlee, recently. I see a bird, I think of it as a collage. I see an apple, I'm tearing up magazines in my imagination and gluing that little apple into abstract shapes. Even my puggies have been subjected to the idea of pet portraiture in paper. (They are refusing to make eye contact...) There's nothing quite like having a new obsession to keep your creative muses humming!
Ask me how many times I tipped the glue pot...
