My favorite snack...Sake and Edemame. I love
wine but it gives me a headache. Fortunately, Sake
doesn't. Don't know why unless it's because the
rice metabolizes differently. Whatever the reason,
Here's to Sake!

Almost Guacamole, but not quite. I forgot to include
the lime and onion. They would have added some
much needed light to the bottom of the composition.
However, I didn't forget them when I made the
actual Guacamole for my Nachos. YUM!

suggested I try Palette Knife to loosen up. This is my
first attempt. It most definitely loosened me up! I
thoroughly enjoyed getting out of my box and trying
something new.

My son idolized my Dad who always
wore a cowboy hat and boots. As soon as
he could talk he started demanding to have
his own hat and boots like his Grandpa.

The photo reference for this painting was
taken when he was around 2. He's 35 now
but I still see that same expression and think
back to this very sweet time in our lives.

This little tea cup was just the right size to nestle
these small daisies. It is one of three. The gold handles
are a constant lure. I love the way they change colors
depending on what fabric I have them on. Sometimes
they look very gold, nearly red, and other times they
are brassy and leaning toward green. White was dominate
in this fabric resulting in an almost silver look.

This fabric has such a Retro feel. I'm pretty sure my
Mom had a table cloth very similar to this in the '60's.

I am currently trying to kick the Caffeine habit and it's
so much harder than I expected. An Indian friend told
me that Cardamom neutralizes the harmful effects of
Caffeine so I'm giving Chai Tea a go. So far so good!
No headaches!

A friend gave me this cool fabric. The bits of red
inspired me to paint the red vase again. By
shining the light through the clear red glass I was
able to create a glowing shadow. Fortunately, the
fabric was light enough that the shadow remained
reddish. So much fun to paint!

Meet Jacy. He is snow white, like a rabbit, and so
well groomed that finding any definition or variety in
color was such a challenge. I have also never seen a cat
with such striking sky blue eyes.

I thought black dogs were hard to paint until I tackled
this pretty white cat!

This sweet little dachshund not only gets his name
from his odd colored eyes but from his quirky
personality. His owner tells me he's quite the Diva.
(What is the male version of a Diva? A Divo?) If he
had his way he would be the Top Dog in his family
of 3 pets, but that distinction goes to Jacy, the cat.
