These sweet little store bought flowers made a nice color combination for a simple bouquet of flowers.  The yellow rose opened so beautifully I felt it need a floral portrait done.

This 30 minute demo was to help artist see that you can capture an expression of the subject matter by just looking at what the subject is saying.  When sitting down to the easel I study the subject to seeing what it is telling  me.  Then I figure out placement, values, drawing etc.  Try setting a timer for 30 minutes and see what you can do in that short time.

The mornings are still cool and a dull haze hangs in the air during my morning walks in the woods.  While strolling these quiet places my eye spots these tiny signs of Spring showing that hope is eternal  knowing that God provides.

The last of the pansies are blooming so beautifully in the yard and I just hate to pull them up but it is time for the summer flowers to be planted.  There are 2 pots of smiling faces still in the backyard that will just have to wait to go.  They seem to be in all their glory so the summer plants will just have to wait.
