In this wildflower series, I've painted the scene around the edges of the canvas on 1 1/2" deep stretcher bars so that the paintings can be hung without a frame for a unique sculptural effect.

I am getting excited about participating in the Paint the Town Paint Out April 15 - 17th. The area has a wealth of inspiration for the plein air painter. The wildflowers should be in full bloom and beautiful.
