I created this while  participating in the Prairie Fest in the Tandy Hills Natural Area of Fort Worth.  It is a fun event in a beautiful location.  My hats are off to  Art Space III  and all the wonderful volunteers that help put this together.  It seems to grow and get better every year.   I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint. This painting sold.

I created this from flowers I received from my sister. She was in Hawaii visiting her husband's family and sent them to me.  This was the second painting I did from the flowers. Each flower had it's own unique shape and color I wanted to do each one separately, but together.

This was created during the Paint the Town paint out in Marble Falls, Texas. We found a private spot  on a cul-de-sac overlooking the river. We were there to paint the sunset and this was a warm up. I painted this with a palette knife and swift strokes. It is available for purchase. $150.00

This was painted in Marble Falls during the Paint the Town paint out this past weekend. We were driving around looking for inspiration and passed the plant nursery. I made a mental note to return when the sun was right. We returned the next morning and painted there several hours. I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint. This painting sold.

I love painting these water lilies and wanted to do a larger one. I have done a number of small studies and was up to the challenge of producing a larger version. I love how this one turned out. This was created with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint. It is available through Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.

I painted this today at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.  Thanks to all that stopped by.  It was a fun day in a beautiful gallery with a top selection of art.  She has 12 new larger paintings of mine, including this one.  I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint. The study I used for this was painted in the Whiskey Flat's area outside Ft. Worth. It was early morning and a cloudy day. This painting is available through Dutch Art Gallery.

I painted this yesterday morning on a nice back road outside of Glen Rose, Texas.  I called one of my local friends to find out where the bluebonnets were and her husband directed us to this sweet spot.  It was a quite and peaceful setting. The only traffic we saw were a car and a few bicycles.

I created this in the studio from one of my small field studies.  On the morning I created the field study the sun poked through stormy clouds. It was a beautiful sunrise for a minute and I tried my best to capture it.  As soon as we left the skys opened up and poured.  I used the palette knife  to paint this.

I created this during my reception at Southwestern Adventist University, Thursday night. My friend Doug Clark was showing his bronze sculptures along side my paintings. He did a sculpture demo during the reception. This brought a new twist to their show. I think it was exciting for the patrons to see the process.

This painting was inspired by a small study I created in the Ft. Worth Botanical Garden. I took a photo of the scene for use in the studio later. The two young ladys were strolling through about that time.

The weather here has been nice and warm with temperatures in the 80's. That is going to make the flowers pop.

My sister Pam and her husband Dan were in Hawai during the opening reception at my solo show in Granbury. They were unable to attend, but sent these beautiful flowers straight from the island.  It was such a treat to receive this special delivery.  They made a beautiful center piece for the show. I knew I had to paint them.  This was painted with a palette knife.

I created this as a commission for a customer that saw a small version in my show in at Tarleton's State University- Dora Lee Langdon Center in Granbury.  It is always helpful to paint a study before painting on a large canvas and this one was seemed to paint itself.  I painted this one with a palette knife and lots of thick paint.

This was another study completed in the Jill Carver workshop this week. We painted behind the Boyce Feed and Grain Corporation in Waxahachie, Texas. This grain yard was full of activity and a great place for the value study Jill was teaching.  I can't wait to get out and practice all she taught us. She packed a lot of information in the three day class.
