"Reputation" of the Boxer pup Huxley. 10x8 inch mixed media on panel. Your purchase of this painting will generate a donation to Legacy Boxer Rescue in Texas. Click here for more information about the donation.

This little boxer pup was orphaned at birth. Legacy Boxer Rescue took him in and found him a foster mom who later adopted him. Perseus, as he was known in the beginning, later was renamed Huxley. I have gone back into this earlier painting and added "Huxley" to the placard behind. I'll be doing a bit more detail work on the script "Huxley" as soon as the paint is dry. Originally I named the painting "Hux in a Tux" but on the repaint I decided to add Huxley's name and rename the painting "Reputation." Huxley earned his reputation first under the name of "Perseus" as the unofficial mascot for Legacy Boxer Rescue as he fought all odds to survive. Anyone who loves boxer dogs would be proud to have a painting of Huxley on their wall. Huxley represents determination and reputation.

Young at Heart Border Collie

Border Collie "Young at Heart"
mini art card by V. Bridges Hoyt

Another freehand watercolor and ink sketch delivers art from my heart. My rescued border collie Brooke was the model for this original art card illustration. She is 13+ years, but I'm not sure if Brooke really looks as old as I've painted her. I have heard that every painting is a self-portrait of sorts. Maybe I was feeling old that day.
