Red and Pink Hollyhock Tableau by Floral Artist Nancy Medina

Red and Pink Hollyhock Tableau is based on an absolute dream of a hollyhock garden we stumbled upon near Oakley, Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City. A car full of lady artists, we made two U-turns in order to stop and get photos, because pretty flowers always take priority! I couldn't help but think back to years ago in Fredericksburg, Texas, driving around with the accomplished Texas artist, Elaine Monnig, how we stopped about 85 times in one trip around the Willow City Loop because we just could not pass by a scene that begged to be photographed and later painted! Just one reason that traveling with gal pals is so fun!

Red and Pink Hollyhocks is my 12th painting in the 30 in 30 Challenge by Leslie Saeta, be sure to visit her blog and take a peek at the hundreds of amazing entries every day this month!
