Heaven Scent Red Poppies

Heaven Scent is a new little red poppy in the studio, a diversionary tactic to help me avoid packing the suitcase and the EasyL Easel and paint tubes for my solo art show and class in Fredericksburg, Texas, this week. It's amazing what I can get done when I'm supposed to be doing something else. I can get the whole house cleaned in an hour if I'm really supposed to be working on tags for paintings. I can get two pugs bathed in half an hour flat if I'm supposed to be packing paintings to ship. And I can make the coolest art workshop banners with pretty text fonts I absolutely did not need but purchased anyway when I'm supposed to be writing my newsletter. I am the most productive procrastinator on the planet. Is that true for all artists, I wonder?
My friend and I were just comparing similar notes last night. Dishes, dusting, taking out the trash all seem very important when we're supposed to be painting.
ReplyDeleteI was born in Boerne and grew up in San Antonio, so I know Fredersburg.
I really love your flower paintings. Arlene
