The Traveler, An Abstract Contemporary Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace.

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013

The Traveler
Contemporary Horse Painting
30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas.

This painting has intensity. This contemporary horse painting is a journey in itself as I began a different painting on the surface and discovered it was not where my creativity was smiling, so from that point, Traveler began to take its place on the surface. Rough ragged terrain and a horse crossing over it, blending in with the colors and the spirit.

This painting is available. Email me if you are interested in it.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1 John 3:16-18

How Old are YOU? 7x7 foal oil painting by Debbie Grayson Lincoln

7 X 7 Oil on linen panel $125
Includes shipping and insurance US
His legs are still so long - and to reach the ground, he must make them go in opposite directions...the little bird MUST be investigated - both just fledged and newly exploring the world.
I still find many things new and curious, and baby critters top the list. I never tire watching a newborn anything.

Contemporary Equine Painting
24" x 24" Oil on Heavy Duty Gallery Wrap Canvas

My inspiration for this painting was a photograph of my nephew riding at a horse show several years ago.  I loved the shape of the horse's head and her coloring.  I just varnished this piece, so it will be ready to find a new home.  Contact Kay for more information at 214-532-0325 or kay@kwyne.com.  Thanks.  Kay

You can provide all kinds of shade for a horse - barn, lean-to, loafing shed and /or trees, but mine STILL prefer to nap in the sun in the heat of the day - surrounded by shade. Go figure. I don't know how they keep from frying their brains - but then, maybe they don't!

Neck & Neck by Kay Wyne

Neck & Neck
Oil on 32" x 30" Gallery Wrap Canvas
This painting will go to The Wine Therapist Exhibit (if it is dry enough!) This painting is fast and furious...lots of color, engergy and movement on the canvas. I wanted the viewer to keep looking at the horses...trying to decide which one is in the lead. It is close. I just finished and signed it today. I hope to put it in Studio Art & Soul's upcoming show. More details on the artists' reception and show. I hope that you had an artful day....I did!

The Inside Track by Kay Wyne

The Inside Track
Oil on Canvas
24" x 30"
I finished this painting. Normally I paint odd numbers of objects or subject matter in my paintings, but four horses seemed to work for me on this canvas. I did have some horses in the background at one time, but decided to blurr the background completely. Initially I had the starting stalls in the background with roof and sky painted in, but I changed my plans. The horse with the green blinker on the inside track is in the lead. This painting conveys the energy, excitement, and competitiveness of the horse race. This painting will be for sale once it dries and placed up at The Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas. Thanks for viewing this blog. Please contact me if you are interested in this painting that is fresh off the easel!

The PaintingThis is another new piece in my Earth, Sea and Wind Gallery Series 2010.  Using one of my signature styles on canvas, you have the blended underlays and overlays with runs and layering of Oil paints on top of those layers.  Tender emotions and solid play of colors create an world of intimacy.

The Painting:  Well, I continued painting in my new Gallery Series, Earth, Sea and Air. This is on fabulous aquaboard which leaves a wonderful textured feeling for the watercolor. This is so easy to slip into a frame and hang..or you could set it up on an easel as it is.  It is not watercolor paper. It is a heavy Masonite type board with the aqua surface to absorb the watercolors.
