Oranges and Pansies, Contemporary Painting by Sheri Jones

Oranges and Pansies
10x8 oil on canvas

I painted this in the studio from a set up. The pansies are from my garden and just beautiful. The oranges added just the right pop of color. This has thick paint applied with a palette knife. It was a joy to create. It is available for purchase thru Assemblage Contemporary Craftsman Gallery.

Rainbow Bright Truck, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Rainbow Bright Truck
9x12 oil on raymar canvas panel

I created this during the Paint Historic Waxahachie paint out event.  This was on a day that poured rain most of the time I was there. This truck was the most colorful thing I could find on this gray day. I managed to find a spot under an awning that allowed me to paint without getting wet.  This is available for purchase. $250.00

Crape Myrtle Shadows by Artist of Texas, Sheri Jones

Crape Myrtle Shadows
12x9 oil on canvas

I painted this in my front yard. This crape myrtle is over 25 years old  and is what greats me everyday. I drove up one morning and was struck by the great shadows and strong highlights the morning sun made. I started painting this on the morning my 4 year great niece stayed over to paint. I set her up with an easel and let her create her own garden painting. It was such fun watching how happy this made her. She is an artist in training.  I returned the next day to finish it. This is available  for purchase. $250.00

I enjoyed painting  this on site yesterday at a great location outside of Glen Rose, Tx.
