Tie a Bow on It by artist Pat Meyer

Snow, Snow and more Snow today so why not paint.  These flowers were purchased for a demo but we were snowed out.  I decided to put the little market flowers into the 3 vases to separate them out to showcase their beauty.  The Sunflower was the star of the flowers so she had to be front and center and all her supporting flowers surrounded her to make her feel warm and cozy on this cold day.  To finish this little painting the green bow made me think to Tie a Bow on It.

So fun to be back into the studio to start 2020!  What better way to start the New Year but with a new painting.  Fresh flowers bought from the market and placed into one of my favorite vases.

Let the New Year begin

Summer has set in and the flowers are not blooming as much as they were but what we do have is lovely.  When placing these flowers in the set up all I could see is that everyone wanted me to look at them.  Well, only one can be the queen and all others serve her.  Hope you enjoy Looking at them

One of my rose bushes has 3 different colors of blooms on it and change colors as they open.  It is so different to see how it blooms.  The yellow is the color that blooms the most on the bush.  This is the last of the spring blooms so now waiting on the next blooming session.

Lately, the flowers in the studio have represented some state flowers.  This red/pinkish rose it called the Oklahoma Rose for the state of Oklahoma.  Wanted to give balance to the rose by painting several white roses to give the main rose more impact.  Enjoy Oklahoma's state flower.

Ice Roses by artist Pat Meyer

The days are getting shorter and colder outside.  In the morning the ice drips off the plants and gives their own glistening look.  While painting these roses and thinking of the dark winter days what better way to cheer things up but through beautiful roses.
