Fuschia Flame Pink Poppies is the newest painting in Flower Mound Studio, a stormy cold night in Texas, and summer is officially over. Two days home without traveling feels like sheer luxury, and all the colors I've been wanting to see on canvas have been pouring out as fast as I can paint them. I have eight wet paintings all drying at the same time, one four foot long, but most of the others small. This year is almost over, and if someone had told me in January this is how 2013 would end, I might never have believed them. Working full time as an artist is a real gift. I don't take it for granted, because it's a dream I've been working toward for years. Thanks so much for walking on this journey with me.
