Abiding Love Red Geraniums by Texas Flower Artist Nancy Medina

Following an excursion after dark into the yard to cut flowers from my container garden, Abiding Love Geraniums took the place of some uncooperative white lilies. Sometimes a vase argues with me, and sometimes a flower will demand emancipation from the spotlight. That's when the Viva paper towel dipped in a tiny bit of turpenoid comes in handy to wipe the slate clean, and an entirely new painting evolves. After several days of white flowers in red vases, it seems proper to tilt things a bit and paint red flowers in a white-silver vase, don't you think?

The studio models take a bow!
