Wind Blown Poppies is taking up a big spot in the studio, this evening the sudden and inexplicable urge to paint a big 'ole poppy landscape took hold. I think I needed a nice path to step into and escape the busy pace of my life lately. This painting is based on a place in Utah that is a little bit of heaven on earth, not only for its beauty, but for the dear friend who lives there. I may not be there physically, but I am there in spirit! Speaking of traveling to see friends, my Tennessee workshop September 21-23 is almost full, so I hope you'll join me there!
