The Queen of the Night tulips at the Dallas Arboretum lasted only a few days last spring. I am tempted to call their gardening hotline just to find out if they will be planting beds of these beauties again this year.

There were dozens of varieties of tulips on display at the Dallas Blooms Festival during Artscape at the Arboretum last spring. You can see some of these along with the azeleas, cannas, petunias and other flowers on my Art Blog. You might want to wear comfy shoes for the tour, like most things in Texas, the Arboretum is pretty big.

I can't wait until the spring blooms and bulbs start making an appearance at the Dallas Arboretum again. The best part about being juried into Artscape in the spring is knowing I will have three days to stroll around the tulips and azaleas on my breaks and to see the park transformed into a world of color. I hope you will join me in the park March 20-21 during the Dallas Blooms event - it's the best time to visit the Arboretum.
