This was a commissioned painting and was a birthday gift for Julie Miller.

She visited her sister in South Dakota running the streets in a little red VW. A baby boy was born during this time. He is the one that later named the car the "Julie Miller car"   It was a memorable visit for this sweet family and this painting takes them back to that time.

I painted this on the first day of Niki Gulley's workshop in Tuscany. She and her husband lead us on an incredible 8 day tour of the Tuscan area of Italy.  We painted at a fantastic villa they arranged for us to stay at. I painted this today at El Tesoro Camp in Granbury, Texas. I met 9 other artist there to paint. This is a camp for children and we were fortunate to get special permission to paint there. This was set up a month ago by Claudia Davis  and Maryann Brommer  when the weather was unseasonably warm. Today we had winter weather with temperatures only reaching the 41 for the high.  I dressed like I was going snow skiing and did fine. We were low on the river protected from the wind. It turned into a great day for those willing to brave the cool weather.  This is available for purchase $250.00

This is another study I did from my field trip to the Ft. Worth Botanical gardens. I love the variety of flowers they plant and maintain.  I am motivated to paint spring time subject, because our weather has been spring like. I painted it with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

This old truck is parked at a house in my neighborhood. For years it had a tarp on in, protecting in from the elements.  The tarp faded away and this beauty appeared. I'm glad he hasn't covered again and will let it breath for a while.  It made a great model and was lots of fun to paint. This is availalbe for purchase. $175.00
