Contemporary Floral Still Life
This palette knife painting is drying in the studio. The paint was applied in layers with a knife, making the paint very thick and textural. These flowers have subtle color changes, as I mixed and mixed piles of paint before I began this painting. There is an underpainting...and some turquoise, red, and peach are peaking through to give it some unexpected pops of color.
