The Point by Kay Wyne

The Point
32" x 32" Palette Knife Painting
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
This painting started out as a very simple seascape.  My inspiration for this painting was a photograph of Harbor Springs, Michigan.   The photograph was of the beautiful sky, Lake Michigan and Harbor Point.  My painting went a little abstract, but I see the water, sand, sky and the point.  This painting has a lot of texture since I applied layers and layers of paint with the knife.  When I look at this painting, it reminds me how special our summer in Northern Michigan were.  Thanks for viewing this blog and my art.  Have a great weekend!
