I painted this from a field study and photos of a water garden in Waxahachie. It was a comissioned piece and a real treat to paint. She wanted it colorful and she wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed painting this with the palette knife. The knife allows me to build layer upon layer of colorful paint. This painting is sold, but I have similar paintings available.
