"New Orleans Boat" by Margie Whittington

"NEW ORLEANS BOAT"
11" x 14"
Watercolor

Margie Whittington
Before Hurrican Katrina we visited in New Orleans.
This was painted from a photo of a boat being worked on.
It is sad to think it is probably
no longer there.

  1. Margie I lived in South Louisiana and went through Katrina... this boat was a famous landmark of sorts. Many times we passed it by. I don't recall exactly where it was located. Not all of New Orleans flooded, but if it was anywhere near where the water hit, it is no longer there. Your painting is a lovely memory of it, however!
