Meet Me in the Garden Series- Suzy 'Pal' Powell

I took some photos while in Florida of this great colorful pottery, and ended up

with a series. I collaged some sheer paper that had some specks of paper and gold threads

 down onto hot press paper, using matt medium. Then I drew the design and painted it using watercolor, and a little gouache.

Talavera Callas

15x22 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper. This is a combination still life of pears, callas and red bell pepper with Talavera pottery on lace with landscape behind. A Texas windmill appears on one side while a ranch house shows on far right under a New Mexico sky.
