Progress on Five Hearts

I began to work on collaging papers over the Bible and Narnia pages. This type of work has it's own path and often I have to step back and let it go on its own.

Heart to Heart Beginnings, Mixed Media Heart Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Heart to Heart 5 Commissioned Painting 
30 x 40 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD 

I took a bit of time choosing the Bible pages to put down on the base foundation of this piece and on top of those woven across are pages from the Chronicles of Narnia. The basic premise here are three hearts representing three children, but my deep feel is to do five hearts to include the parents... so I am working with fives as this begins to unfold. There are five hearts in Narnia built on top of the Bible and there are five waves across the top of the composition and two on the left side and three on the right side.
Again the Spirit begins to build and the painting takes on its own personality.
