And now a slightly different take on the same subject. I really liked the flower from above, and this combination of plums and orange slices. Silly you say? But that's me. : )
I'm off tomorrow for a workshop in Maine. Looking forward to getting away from this heat!

Apple by Kay Wyne

Apple-Sold
Today's painting is one that I did at a Carol Marine Workshop in Salado, Texas. I really liked this painting because it pushed me...the exercise was to use a different color of paint in each stroke, and not repeat a color. So every time that I loaded my brush with paint, it had to be somewhat different than the stroke before. It was a good exercise, and I should probably try it again at the studio.
