This large floral is my gift to myself for Christmas. This year I wanted a large painting to hang above the mantel over the fireplace. Have planned to do a arrangement on the fireplace with the colors of gold, copper and silver so this simple design should offset the other things in the arrangement. When lit this painting glows because I used a gold gesso for the under coat with lime green under tones of the flower against the dark background.
