Blue Rain Iris is the newest small painting in the studio, a little tribute to the finishing touches I placed on a 24X30 iris commission today. Someone asked me on my facebook page how I am able to come home every day from an office job and paint every night without collapsing. I've guarded my secret quite closely, but now the word is out! When I feel my energy flagging, I dip into the big bag of Dove milk chocolate and only allow myself as much as I can carry in two fists to the studio. It's important to demonstrate a modicum of self-control, after all.

    I love this painting Nancy. The blue is such a pretty shade. Just taking 2 fists full of chocolate, that is a good secret.
