Market Mix Hydrangeas is a small painting I completed after a series of large hydrangea paintings. A sensible painter would do the small study first, learn something important, and apply that to a new, large painter. Me, I like to make my mistakes on big canvases. I think it has something to do with me being a shopaholic. My sister said I really need to acquire the habit of checking price tags before I get to the register at some point. I'm not sure how one of those goes with the other, but somehow there is a subliminal connection. Take a peek at my art blog today to see Market Mix posing with the overpaid and underworked studio models that inspired her!
