Glass Jar Hydrangeas will probably be the last painting I can coax from this lovely bunch of hydrangeas I found at the grocery store two days ago. The flower selection in the stores has never been so thin, and today I even tried several other stores, and could find no more hydrangeas, and no sunflowers. Instead there were several varieties of roses, so it looks like I'll be spending time with roses for the next few days!

Tomorrow I teach a class here in the studio and my assistants have promised to be on their best behavior. The boys will be locked up in the kitchen, however, since four pugs underfoot is a challenge even for the most intrepid of artistic souls. Carlos has made a wonderful homemade quiche for us, and cut up fresh watermelon, so lunch will be quite the occasion! I know I should be saying sage things about painting, but for some reason that warm quiche is distracting me....

Have a wonderful weekend, my painting friends, and may your next canvas be a masterpiece!
