Summer Dream Poppy Solo is drying on the easel in Flower Mound Studio, and is a small work inspired by a favorite part of a large work! My old habit of painting small studies to create large ones got a bit reversed yesterday. I really liked the little poppy drooping in the left corner of Garden Medley, created yesterday, so created a new version on its own spotlight on canvas today. See if you can find the part of Garden Medley, on my art blog, that, inspired Summer Dream Poppy Solo. That porch picture was strategically cropped to remove pug noses and curly tails...
