Summer Bliss Sunflowers and Canna Lilies is drying on the easel and is one of my favorite new paintings. I found these lovely canna lilies and sunflowers at the grocery store yesterday when I was supposed to be picking up bread and cream. The checkout guy has long since pegged me as the crazy flower lady, pushing a cart of plants around the grocery store as if I think I'm at the nursery. He probably is tempted to suggest I go to the nursery for better prices, but there are all those hidden cameras in grocery stores now, so that could jeopardize his summer job. Little did he know, I had just come from the nursery when I stopped at the grocery store. My addiction to flowers and plants knows no bounds. They need to create a seven step program for flower junkies like me. The only problem is, I have no desire to quit! Somebody needs to arrange for an intervention or something... You can see the setup for Summer Bliss, and my studio assistant who was there to lend a paw, on my art blog.

  1. You are so funny. I think I am in that same program as you. I even lust after peoples flowers in their yards.
