Second Chance Tulips is the newest work in Flower Mound Studio, while the newest four-footed helper resident naps at my feet. Hannah is a tiny pug from Germany who was released to rescue a few months ago. She was adopted, but the family who adopted her decided she was not the perfect fit. I was there when they returned her to DFW Pug Rescue, to bring her to the Medina Foster Home for Wayward Pugs. My job is to give this timid, sweet little girl back her faith in humanity and that is one task I intend to do well. It took a while, but today she put her little tail up and waggled it, and even did a little soft shoe dance at dinnertime, hoping for a bit of chicken salad. She is quiet and avoids the other pugs, almost as if she is used to being pushed around. Annie is quickly showing her that girls rule in this household, so she should feel free to push to the front of the queue at dinnertime, right behind AnnieBee, of course. Hannah will stay with us until she feels safe and happy again, and then I will help to find the perfect forever home for her. What a treat to have such a special guest. Visit my blog to see a photo of Hannah.
