Garden Geraniums is drying on the easel in Flower Mound Studio, as a large bluebonnet landscape commission dries on the easel, and three paintings are packed for shipping to Canada, South Texas, and New Jersey. After chilly temperatures and a sudden rainstorm, my geraniums are hoping for the dry, hot weather of Texas summer to approach quickly! My hydrangeas are begging to keep the cold and wet, but perhaps we will be very fortunate this summer and achieve that happy medium that will make this Texas back yard garden the perfect place for my geraniums and hydrangeas, too. After all, these flowers need to keep blooming so they will inspire a few paintings in order to earn their keep!
