Serenity Lane Cottage is a new oil painting based on the cottages of Coronado Island, California. I took the liberty of borrowing some of my favorite delphinium photos from the Dallas Arboretum to populate the foreground of Serenity Lane. The delphiniums on Coronado Island are lovely, but were all a solid purple color this past spring. I had a bit easier time with the Dallas delphs, which were askew, multicolored, and interspersed with a wonderful variety of shapes and sizes. Take a peek at my blog to see photos of delphiniums from both locations and see if you an tell which is which!
