Small landscape study in the studio, inspiration from a photo taken on a trip to New Mexico. Contact Kay for purchasing information. Thanks for viewing...Kay
When I painted this contemporary landscape canvas, I wanted to let the eye wander over the canvas as if you were exploring and walking through the trees, towards the mountains. There is a path leading to the base of the mountains, which is the focal point. The color palette for this painting is different than the norm for me...I wanted to use more neutral and earthy colors rather than bright, bold and vibrant colors. When looking at this painting up close you want to touch it...the palette knife allowed me to put some texture on the canvas. Peaceful Path would make a wonderful addition to a home or office ...please contact me if you are interested in this painting or any of the art posted here on this blog. Thanks, Kay at kay@kwyne.com.
I originally did a watercolor painting of this landscape. I had
several students that wanted to do it using acrylic. I would post the
watercolor but it is framed and I don't have a photo. It was one of
those early paintings before I starting photographing each one. Too
many to go back and take apart!! A chore for a rainy day and that is
not today!!!
Inspired by a beautiful landscape photo taken in Jackson Hole, Wyoming this painting is easy on the eye. The painting pulls the viewer in and allows you to wander over the canvas. This oils were applied with a palette knife, giving the paints texture. Contact Kay if you are interested in this painting or any others posted here on this blog.
