I'm always just a little sad on the last day of a workshop, saying goodbye to a group of friends from across the country. By Day 3, we've all let our hair down a bit, wiped yellow paint off one another's faces, shared cookies at some point, and painted until the cows came home on several occasions. Toss in a little chocolate, and there is no better bonding experience I can think of! My Murfreesboro, Tennessee workshop wrapped up today, and tomorrow I fly home to the hubby and the pugs in North Texas. Next stop, Spring, Texas! Visit my art blog to see more workshop photos...

Sold - Caribbean Blue Hydrangeas and a Tennessee Workshop by Texas Flower Artist Nancy Medina

Caribbean Blue White Hydrangeas
by Nancy Medina
16X12
Oil on Panel

What do you get when you mix ladies from Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia and Texas all in one space with lots of flowers, sweet (pronounced SUH-WEET) iced tea, some tubes of paint and four dozen gourmet cake donuts? You get a Rowdy Art Class, that's what! My first ever art class out of state, and my first ever art class in Tennessee, is under way and we struck gold with the fresh flowers here in the Collierville-Germantown suburb of Memphis. The Kroger is the size of the State of Connecticut, and my fabulous gal pal host Carolyn Brown called ahead for arrangements of every blossom that has ever made my heart go pitty pat to be ready and waiting for class to begin Thursday. Take a peek at my art blog to see what my student's created!
