Contemporary Floral Still Life
I just finished this painting in the studio yesterday. I had started it months ago, and put it away for a while. I was in the mood to put some finishing touches on it, sign it and photograph it. I love the shape and color of the vase, and the variety of shapes and colors in the floral arrangement. It's very abstract...it's obvious that I used a flat brush by the strokes of paint on the canvas. I pulled the arrangement out of my head, using my imagination and had a good time painting this one, even though it took a while to complete the job! I hope this painting makes you smile.
