Sheri Jones, New Contemporary Landscape Painting, La Mancha's Windmills

La Mancha Windmills
10x8 oil on raymar canvas panel

I created this at La Mancha Windmills in Consuegra, Spain. Most Spanish windmills like those described in Cervantes Don Quixote can be found here. These date back to the 12th century.
We travelled with Scott Williams and Niki Gulley of ArtTreks. They do the work of finding great locations to paint, stay and eat. It was an incredible trip and one I would recommend.  I was inspired in this charming Spanish town.
This is available for purchase.
