The Ballerinas are readying themselves for the big performance.  Much anticipation is in the air and a little nerves are showing through as the girl fiddles with her hair.  The others feel assured with their abilities and are just gazing around at all the attention they are feeling.  Hope this painting moves you to reflect on what they might be thinking right before they go on stage.
