Summer Rain Peonies and a Ghostly Visitor - Flower Paintings by Nancy Medina

Class Demonstration

Oil on Archival Panel

Summer Rain Peonies was my class demonstration this morning at the Jacoby Arts Center in Alton, Illinois. Students from Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri converged to paint bright, loose color and also to help tackle two boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts and a batch of fresh made from scratch lemon blueberry scones. Did I mention the scones had creme cheese icing drizzled on top? (note to self -- invite Susan the pastry chef to ALL future workshops!)

Visit my art blog today to read a about my visit from a ghost last night, while staying in a historic haunted house near St. Louis, Missouri! *cue scary music*

The studio models take a bow!

A beautiful historic facility for flower painting, and a room
filled with super talented peony painters!
