Little Wonder Stargazer

Little Wonder Stargazer is one of a new collection of small dailies in my gallery this month, and it's been a busy week in Flower Mound Studio. Today was the first day of the last workshop of the year here in North Texas, and I was honored to have a student travel from Kazakhstan to paint with me! Doris said this was her vacation this year, and she had planned the dates strategically. I think she was a bit surprised at how cold it was here last night, but today the sun came out to welcome her and the snow and ice began melting, finally, in earnest. It was interesting to hear how difficult (and at times impossible) it is to get art supplies shipped to you, if you live in Kazakhstan. Most items are simply turned away by customs altogether, so art supplies are very hard to come by. I'll never complain about a late order from Dick Blick again! Tomorrow we will paint red carnations and sunflowers, so stay tuned for more paintings to come!
The studio models take a bow!
