This 4-week
course will cover the ‘nuts and bolts’,
The
fundamentals that create a good representational work of art.
We will
learn color, composition and design, value, drawing, and edges.
Ideas
about materials, lighting, setting up a still life, working from life, form,
intuitive painting, landscape painting, and information gathering will be
discussed.
Together
we will paint many studies that help each student understand these concepts. Students will also paint larger
completed works. Demonstrations,
critiques, and personal instruction will be given.
