Springtime on Wewoka Creek, oil painting by Texas Artist Shirley Quaid



Painted on an 8 x 16 panel.
I painted this from a reference photo but I still remember the sound of the water. Painting it took me back to that quiet spring day last May. The hike to the creek includes a steep climb over a railroad trestle and fording a creek on very slippery rocks but the solitude makes the effort worth it.
