This little Camelia blossomed after an evening of working on a 48 inch square canvas hydrangea commission. I received some photos in the mail from a dear friend whose camelias are in full bloom right now, and have been itching to paint camelias ever since the images arrived. Tonight I am packing up paints, an easel, and a canvas to ship off to California for my solo show on Coronado Island April 21. I hope you'll stop by if you're in the neighborhood! I'll be painting in the garden for my solo show from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm that day. Visit my blog today to see few of my favorite roses from last year's trip - the folks who live here take their flower growing very seriously!
