Pieces of Red Geraniums is a continuation of the geranium theme in the studio this week. This painting was actually finished yesterday, and today I painted a larger 16X20 version I'll share with you tomorrow, at the risk of deluging you with too many geraniums! I was delighted to wake up this morning to find that two of my hydrangea paintings were purchased by a collector in Australia, in The Northern Territory. One of the first landscape palette knife paintings I ever completed was of the Kata Tjuta mountain range from that region. And when I say region, it is so vast it is continent sized all on its own! This was about six years ago, and I would never have dreamed at that time that I would someday be sending paintings there. I've shared a picture of that palette knife painting on my art blog today. Quite a change in my style over the years!
